Choose an apprenticeship as a Tool Mechanic (m/f/x) specialising in mold technology and become an indispensable part of our team. At OTTO FUCHS, you will learn how to manufacture, maintain, and repair tools and molds for industrial production, ensuring the highest quality and precision!

Tasks

Manufacturing tools and fixtures for production operations, as well as repairing them after use
Analysing technical drawings for the precise manufacturing of tools and fixtures
Learning to operate milling machines, lathes, drilling machines, and grinding machines in both conventional and CNC versions

Qualifications

A good secondary school diploma
Good grades in math and physics
Interest in craftsmanship and challenging tasks
Good spatial awareness
Team orientation and ability to work independently
Sense of responsibility
Diligence and willingness to learn

Vocational school

The vocational school takes place at the Berufskolleg für Technik in Lüdenscheid
It is held one to two days per week on a rotating weekly schedule

Duration of apprenticeship

3 ½ years
A shortening of the apprenticeship is possible with good school grades and strong performance within the company
