Whistleblower system

For us as the OTTO FUCHS Group1 , the whistleblower system is an essential part of our compliance programme. In order to meet our requirements, it is very important for us to investigate possible violations such as human rights violations, business crime, data protection violations and violations of environmental regulations. To that end, we have set up a transparent complaints system that receives reports of violations of laws and internal rules.

All information will be investigated with the greatest care – if requested also with the anonymity of the whistleblower – and with due regard for the rights of all parties involved.

A system for everyone!

Our whistleblower system is available to anyone who beliefs they have been harmed or negatively affected by the business activities of OTTO FUCHS or its business partners. These include, but are not limited to:

  • OTTO FUCHS employees
  • Suppliers
  • Service providers
  • Business partners (including temporary workers and subcontractors) in any country
  • any other external parties.

Channels of our Whistleblowing System

We encourage everyone to point out circumstances that indicate a violation of laws or internal rules. VVarious channels are available for submitting complaints or other information, such as telephone, e-mail, SMS, post or a personal meeting in German or English. Initial contact can be made by telephone, email, text message, post or in a personal conversation in German or English. On request, the enquiry can also be forwarded to a female contact person.

The electronic whistleblower portal accepts complaints in several languages. It is available at any time and allows you to provide confidential complaints or any other information about possible violations of laws and infringements of internal policies and regulations – if requested also anonymously.

We have an external lawyer of trust (ombudsman) who acts as an independent and self-employed lawyer. He is impartial and is not subject to any instructions from the company regarding the substantive handling of the matter. The lawyer of trust is obliged to maintain confidentiality. The confidentiality of the identity of a whistleblower is always maintained.
