Tasks

Setting up and operating conventional and CNC machines for the machining of workpieces

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions

Selecting and using appropriate tools and cutting materials

Measuring and testing the manufactured components for dimensional accuracy and surface quality – e.g., through hardness tests, tensile tests, bending, and shear tests

From the second year of apprenticeship: Block instruction for four weeks at a time
