Industrial Mechanic
& Bachelor of ENGINEERINg

By combining the Mechanical Engineering study program at Fachhochschule Südwestfalen in Iserlohn with an apprenticeship at our company, you will quickly acquire broad expertise and high qualifications as an Industrial Mechanic (m/f/x) in the field of maintenance, along with a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.). During this time, you will get to know many different departments and always have varied tasks, leading to a diverse and comprehensive specialist knowledge.

Tasks

Learning manual and machine skills (filing, sawing, turning, milling, grinding, welding) in the in-house apprenticeship workshop
Maintaining and repairing equipment, machines, and vehicles
Arranging and installing new systems
Working as a skilled worker in a selected department
Writing the bachelor's thesis on practical processes from everyday work

Qualifications

General or subject-specific university entrance qualification
Good to very good grades in mathematics and natural sciences
Interest in technical contexts
Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work both in a team and independently
Diligence and willingness to learn
Very good self-management

Vocational school & University

Fachhochschule Südwestfalen in Iserlohn
Lectures every 2nd Saturday at the University & weekly with study letters
Vocational school takes place 1-2 times a week at the Berufskolleg für Technik in Lüdenscheid
Generally, online tutorials are held once evening a week, in which you can attend to deepen your understanding of the topics and ask questions

Duration of the dual study program

4 ½ years
The first 2 ½ years are spent in parallel with the apprenticeship
